The Life of Peter H. Gregg

Peter H. Gregg, age 86, husband of the late Vivian Saulters Gregg and resident of West Haven, entered into eternal rest July 19. He was born in Bennettsville, S.C., son of the late Willie & Iola Crossland Gregg. He worked as a machinist & supervisor for Farrel Corp. in Ansonia for 32 years, and as a chauffeur for Crompton & Knowles of Stamford. He was a very active member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia, where he was very supportive of the church’s Pastor’s Aid Ministry, served as Chairman of Board of Deacons and sang in the Choir. He was also a member of The Farrel Old Timers Club. He is survived by his daughter Germaine Gregg of West Haven, his son Riley Gregg of New Haven, his sister Selma Perry & brother Douglas Gregg, both of S.C., 3 grandchildren Durval Gregg Solomon of New Haven, Datania Gregg of West Haven & Rasheemah Gregg of New Haven and great granddaughter Kenya Gregg of Waterbury. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at The Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia. Friends may call at church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service.
