The Life of JOSEPHINE HELLER

Josephine A. (Maurer) Heller, 93, of Reading, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021, in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late George A. "Pepper" Heller, who passed away September 5, 2017. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A.A. and Ida (Nye) Maurer. Josephine graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1946 and was a member of St. Joseph's R.C.C. Josephine was a bookkeeper for Frank P. Heller and Co. Plumbing Business. Josephine is survived by her children; G. Michael husband of JoAnn W. Heller, Crestwood, Suzanne M. widow of Robert Drazba, Brownstown, James R. husband of Inger D. Heller, Downingtown. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Danielle M. wife of Matthew R. Cole, Derrick A. Heller, Desiree A. Heller, and Eliza L. Heller; and her great grandchildren McKenna M. Cole, and Lincoln M. Cole. Josephine was predeceased by her sons, Gregory Heller and Richard J. Heller, sisters Audrey Hess, Madeline Szymborski, Elaine Mitchell, Ethel Reardon, and Sylvia Gilbert, and her brothers Joseph A. Maurer Jr. and Jacob H. Maurer. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am in St Joseph's R.C.C., 1018 N 8th Street Reading, Pennsylvania 19604. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's R.C.C. Church Memorial Fund, 1018 N 8th St., Reading Pa, 19604.
