The Life of PAUL L ZIMMERMAN

Paul L. Zimmerman, 88, formerly of Reading, passed away Saturday October 22, 2022 at 5:30 am at ProMedica Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Laureldale.  Born in Reading, Mr. Zimmerman was the son of the late John C. and Catherine M. (Vogel) Zimmerman.  He was a 1954 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church.  He was in production at the former Firestone Tire & Rubber Company in Pottstown for 21 years and then in maintenance at the Reading School District for 14 years retiring in 1996.  Mr. Zimmerman served in the United States Army.  He was preceded in death by his siblings John L. Zimmerman, Kathryn M. Zimmerman, Joan M. Zimmerman and is survived by the love of his life,  Kathy Dugan of Reading; nieces Kathy J. Varga, wife of Michael J. Varga of Katy, Texas; Karen Zimmerman of Reading and his nephew John Zimmerman, husband of Aurora Zimmerman of Missouri City, Texas.  He is also survived by his great nephew Christopher Varga of Katy, Texas and his great niece Ashley Varga of Henrico, Virginia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  Reverend Monsignor John J. Grabish, Celebrant.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Saint Joseph RCC, 1018 North 8th Street, Reading, PA 19604 in memory of Mr. Paul L. Zimmerman.
