The Life of DAVID M. CAUSA

David M. Causa D.D.S., 66, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2022, in his Wyomissing residence. He was the loving husband and best friend of Patricia (Sawyer) Causa. They were married on July 28, 1978 and began dating when they were 16 years old. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Jack and Claire (Sullivan) Causa. David was a graduate of Holy Name High School, Mt. St. Mary’s College, and Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He was the owner of David M. Causa D.D.S. Center For Comprehensive Dentistry for 42 years. David loved to create beautiful smiles for his family of patients. Spending quality time with his wife, children, granddaughter, extended family and friends was most important to him. He enjoyed traveling, especially to St. John, Virgin Islands and Stone Harbor. David cherished his time hunting especially with those that enjoyed the adventure with him. Weightlifting, fishing, and playing the guitar were other favorite pastimes. Athletics played a big part in his life. He was very proud of his playing career as a Holy Name Blue Jay and his contributions to the Wyomissing Spartan Football Family as a coach for 18 seasons. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: David M. Causa II; Kylie (Matthew) Alfonse; and Justin Thomas Causa; siblings: Jack J. (Regina) Causa; Cheryl A. (David) Migliore; and Dianne M. (Stephen) Weber; and granddaughter, Lillian Claire Alfonse. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 2, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Shillington. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to IM Able Foundation or Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
