The Life of Gabriel A Murn

Gabriel A. "Butchie" Murn, 31, passed away Monday July 8, 2013. Born May 12, 1982, in Chardon, he grew up in Mentor before moving to Montville in 2010. Butchie was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #18. He was employed by McNally / Kewitt as a TBM mechanic on the Euclid Creek Tunnel Interceptor Project. Butchie''s smile lit up the room. He loved his family and his beloved dog, Floyd. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Butchie loved his families camp in Tionesta, Pa. Camp "Buck – a – La" is where he spent time doing what he loved best, hunting and fishing. Survivors are his mother, Jacqueline (John) Crocker of Mentor-on-the-Lake; father, Alan (Paula) Murn of Mentor; brother, Hunter (Amanda) Darling of Concord Township; two nephews, Kyle and Cole Darling; niece, Isabella Darling; maternal grandmother, Louise Panzarello; aunts, Santina Panzarello and Nanette Kidder; uncle, Premo (Patty) Panzarello; and step grandmother, Jean Wascak. He is also survived by his fiancé, Jennifer Conrad; her loving family, Becky and Gary Clark, Mark Conrad, Mark (Cristy) Conrad; grandmother, Thelma Rippin; and many loving cousins, lifetime friends and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gabriel Panzarello; paternal grandmother, Margaret Leslie; and his fiancés grandfather, John Rippin. Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral Home. Interment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township. In memory of Butchie contributions may be made to the Geauga County Humane Society Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Road, Russell Twp., OH 44072.
