Kang Hen, 71, passed away July 10, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
He was born March 2, 1942, in Pillin, Cambodia. Kang is survived by his wife of 52 years, Hom Ngin; children, Song, Shon, Summaly, Sodam, Soan, Phola, Samien, Samon, and Vendey; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. The family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 15 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
