The Life of GILBERT EUGENE STOTLER
Gil Stotler, 78, passed away on June 16, 2013 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola. Visitation will be 9-11:30am, Saturday, June 22 at Iles Funeral Homes – Grandview Park Chapel, with the funeral service beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Gil was born on June 16, 1935 in Waterloo, the son of Melton and Margaret Stotler. He was united in marriage to Delores Carter on May 28, 2000 in Des Moines. Gil worked in maintenance at Swanson Corp before retiring in Jan. 2000.
Gil took great pride in his Cherokee Indian Heritage and was a member of 1st Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; brother, Larry; step children, Connie, Gloria, Dean, Keith and Lynn; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 17 siblings.
