The Life of MARGIE A MOORE
Margie Moore, born in Woodland, AL to Johnny B. and Arrie Morrow died Monday, October 24, 2011. She had lived in Urbandale with her husband Jack since 1968 after leaving Dubuque where the family spent 18 years. In 1991 she retired from Sears after 32 years. She had been a volunteer for the All Iowa AIDS Benefit of recent years and was 9-hole golf city champion in 1984.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jack Moore; two sons, Gary and Ronald, both of Urbandale; and a daughter, Peggy Lynn Ferraro Stidham of Lakeland, FL; as well as five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. One sibling (of five), Della McManus of Roopeville, GE survives.
Margie''''s earthly remains have been donated to the Des Moines University. There will be a visitation with family for friends at Hamilton''''s on Westown Parkway from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011.
Family asks that a donation in her name be made to a charity that touches your heart in lieu of flowers and to honor the memory of Margie.
