The Life of Fred Felberg

Fred A. Felberg Fred A. Felberg, 96, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at his home in Newbury Township. He was born July 1, 1916, in New York, N.Y. Fred was a U.S. Army Veteran, WWII, serving from 1942 until 1945. He was a Corporal /Sgt who received Europe and Eastern African medals, the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct medal, and the Middle Eastern Service Award with 5 Bronze Stars. Fred was a member of the American Legion, Newbury Post. He enjoyed fishing and had a great appreciation for hard work. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, June M.; daughter, Winifred (Bruce) Gramoy of Stow; grandson, Eric (Tammy) Phillips; granddaughter, Ashley A. Felberg; great-grandchildren, Zach and Kayla Hess; daughter-in-law, Janis Felberg; and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by son, Ronald L; brothers, Albert, William, and Julius Felberg; and sisters, Adele Myers and Elsie Daun Friends may call 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Fred''s name may be made to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation, 10810 E. 45th St., Suite 300, Tulsa, OK 74146.
