The Life of Jr. John Satkowski

John A. Satkowski Jr., age 66 of Shelton, loving husband of Nancy Tomchik Satkowski, passed away May 11, 2013 at Hewitt Health and Rehab with his loving family by his side. Johnny was born in Derby, April 14, 1947, son of the late John A. Sr. and Helen Lasky Satkowski. John worked as a mechanic and was the owner and operator of the former Johnnie''s Service Station of Derby and was presently employed at Knecht''s Garage of Trumbull. He served in the National Guard. Johnny was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge 571, Derby where he was a Past Exalted Ruler, the Bernardo Council 1350 Knights of Columbus 3rd degree, the Bishop J. Nilan Assembly 115 4th degree, Shelton, the New England Lighthouse Lovers, and the U.S. Lighthouse Society. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Michael Satkowski Sr. (Tina) of Stafford Springs; his daughter Stephanie O''Keeffe (Christien) of Suffolk, VA; grandchildren Michael Satkowski Jr., Cierra and Sean O''Keeffe and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother James Satkowski. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. in the JAMES T. TOOHEY & SON FUNERAL HOME, 92 HOWE AVE., SHELTON. Friends are invited to go DIRECTLY to St. Joseph Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. The family would like to thank the staff of Hewitt Health and Rehab for their compassionate and loving care.
