The Life of FRANCES C. LUBAS

Frances C. Lubas, 90, of Reading, passed away on Saturday May 14, 2022 in The Reading Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband, Luke L. Lubas on February 24, 2004. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Smutek) Kutryb. Frances is survived by her loving daughter; Sandra A. (Lubas) wife of William K. Hummel, of Robeson Twp. and her niece Linda L. (Ulrich) wife of David E. Kendall of Robeson Twp. Other survivors include her granddaughter; Lauren, wife of Jeffrey Douglas, of Exeter Twp. and her great-grandchildren Treyton and Summer Douglas. Frances is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Walter Kutryb, Theresa Caruso, Sophie Parslar and Annie Boyer. Frances was a parishioner of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Twp. Frances was employed by the former Berkshire Knitting Mills as a knitter, until she became a homemaker. Frances ("Chuchie" to some) was a diehard Philadelphia Phillies fan, and enjoyed going to the casinos with her family, and her treats from Burger King. She was always the life of the party and would light up the room with her humor and dancing. She will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends may extend their sympathy and respects to the family on Thursday May 19, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home, Inc. 239 South Ninth Street Reading PA 19602. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am. Entombment in Gethsemane Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Zoe's House Animal Rescue PO Box 2372 Reading PA 19608 in memory of Mrs. Frances C. Lubas.
