The Life of RALPH R OVERLEY

Ralph (Dick) R. Overley, 85, passed away on Saturday August 21st, 2021 while residing at Columbia Cottage, Wyomissing PA. Born in West Reading to the late Winfield S. and Marie B. (Dougherty) Overley.  Ralph was the husband of Maria Louisa (Soto) Overley for 59 years whom passed away in 2016. Ralph was a member of the first graduating class of Governor Mifflin High School in 1954.  Upon graduation he joined the United States Navy and served four years during the Korean War. Ralph was employed by Carpenter Technology, working in the Purchasing Department until his eventual retirement after 35 years. Ralph was predeceased by two sisters; Shirley Marie Overley (Debeck) and Ruth Ellen Overley.  He is survived by one sister; Judith Overley (Newas) wife of Gary Newas Florida, and four brothers; Scott W. Overley husband of Jania Overley Exeter, Benjamin D. Overley husband of Lorraine Mt. Penn, Patrick W. Overley husband of Debra (Forred) Overley Florida, and Timothy L. Overley husband of Melanie (Hiester) Overley Mohnton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday August 27th, 2021 at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church, West Reading, with entombment to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale.  Edward J.
