The Life of EVA JOSEPHINE RAMSEYER ELLIOTT
Eva Josephine Ramseyer Elliott, 94, formerly of Des Moines and Oceanside, CA, passed from this life on Friday, April 12, at Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center. In agreement with her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013, at Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center. A private burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Eva was born on January 8, 1919, in Liberal, MO, to Arthur Harrison and Emma Eve (Malone) Beller. She married Russel Ramseyer and to this union, three children were born. Mr. Ramseyer preceded Eva in death in 1996. Eva married Mr. Paul E. Elliott in 1997. They were a perfect match and always commented that together, they would make one healthy person. They were married for almost 13 years, when Mr. Elliott preceded her in death in 2010.
In her earlier years, Eva was employed as a receptionist with Banker''s Life. She was a homemaker and a very gifted seamstress. She was a member of the Dallas Center United Methodist Church.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jo (Ronn) Kerr of Port Orford, OR; stepson, Roger (Deb) Elliott of Des Moines; three stepdaughters, Nancy (George) Bergeson of Des Moines, Diane (Dick) Arganbright of Guthrie Center and Sharon (Gail Rees, Jr.) Wineland of Casa Grande, AZ; sister, Lu (Ken) Bay of Springfield, MO; and 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her first and second husbands, Eva was preceded into death by her two sons, Rodger Dean Ramseyer and Leslie Russel Ramseyer; stepson, Paul Junior Elliott; grandson, Robb Kerr; and seven brothers and one sister.
The family has respectfully requested that any memorial contributions be made in Eva J. Elliott''s name to a favorite charity of Donor''s choice.
