The Life of JOHN TUNIS SNETSELAAR Jr.
John Snetselaar, 80, passed away March 28, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born March 20, 1933, in Mitchellville, Iowa, to John and Myrtle Snetselaar.
John served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1956.
John is survived by his children, John, James, and Jeffrey Snetselaar, Debbie (Gary) Cron, and Mike Saunders; three grandchildren and one great-grandson; as well as his sisters, Jeanette Beckley, Dorothy (Gayle) Neeley, and Grace (Bob) Squaires. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Donna; brother, Gordon and his sister, Betty.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Bethany Reformed Church, 720 NE 52nd Avenue in Des Moines, with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Reformed Church in loving memory of John.
