The Life of Eugene W. Ramsey
Eugene W. Ramsey (1935-2013) Services for Eugene W. "Gene" Ramsey, 77, of Willoughby, will be 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Mr. Ramsey passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby. Born March 30, 1935, in Cleveland, he had lived in Willoughby for more than 45 years. He was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed reading, working on his computer and gunsmithing. Mr. Ramsey was employed by the Lake County Water Treatment plant, where he retired as a superintendent. Survivors are his daughters, Joyce L. (Rusty) Greer of Georgia, Laura L. Ramsey and Sandy A. Ramsey, both of Willoughby; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Ethlyn Shoemaker of Illinois; and brother, Bill (Leilani) Ramsey of Hawaii. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families. His wife of 50 years, Patricia A. Ramsey, passed away April 5, 2006. His parents, Wallace and Ethel (Main) Ramsey; two brothers; and one sister are also deceased. The Rev. Robert A. Gaston will officiate at the service. Private burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to American Heart Association , P.O.
