The Life of JAMES WILLIAM MARLOW SR.

James W. Marlow, Sr., 91, was born July 17, 1921 in Des Moines, the son of John Sr. and Grace (Richards) Marlow. He passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

James proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. He was a grocery clerk at A & P Grocery for 35 years.

James is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Marlow; children, James Jr. (Sheila) Marlow, Mary Davis, Gerald (Marsha) Marlow and Peggy (Gary) Epstein; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judith Fusaro and Janice Wilson; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by four sisters; two brothers; his son-in-law, Chris Davis, Sr.; an infant daughter and his parents.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 in the chapel at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Association or the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown in loving memory of James.
