The Life of Anna Morgione

ANNA MORGIONE AUSTINTOWN – Anna Morgione passed away peacefully Saturday evening at Humility House. Anna was born July 26, 1914, in Beaver Falls, Pa., and came to Youngstown as a child. She was the daughter of Joseph and Agatha Tirabassi Pantaleo. She worked in the catering business for Mary Hrynko, and then later for Laura Pascale at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Anna was such a loving, caring , and devoted mother and grandmother. She was so proud of her Italian heritage. She made the best Italian food and baked goods. She was at her happiest when she was cooking and baking for her family and friends. Anna’s husband, Joseph Morgione, whom she married Nov. 28, 1931, passed away July 30, 1984. She will always be lovingly remembered by her son, Vincent (Loretta) Morgione of Liberty; her daughter, Diane (Ray) Kuharich of Austintown, whom she made her home with for 25 years; and her daughter-in-law, Norma Morgione of Las Vegas. She leaves her 10 grandchildren, Vinetta (Tom) Metzinger, Vince (Maria) Morgione, Nick (Jessica) Morgione, Greg (Kristin) Morgione, John (Shannon) Morgione, Chris (Irma) Morgione, Lisa Morgione, Steven (Karina) Morgione, Raymond (Dynele) Kuharich, and Ryan (Denise) Kuharich and 27 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters, Helen Speziale and Mary Ann (Jim) Toti and her sister-in-law, Mary Pantaleo. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Frank and infant son, Guiseppe; sisters, Lucy D’Egidio and Ida Speziale; and brother, Anthony Pantaleo. She was a member of St. Dominic Church and their Altar and Rosary Society, and Infant Jesus of Prague Society, and a former member of the Sulmona Valley Club. Calling hours will be at the Fabrizio Funeral Home, 619 E. Indianola Ave. in Youngstown on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the staff of Humility House Special Care Unit and Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate care
