The Life of BILL DEAN FOSTER Sr.

Bill Dean Foster, Sr., 82, was born June 11, 1930 in Tama and passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Bill was a 1st Class Sergeant in the United States Army, and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He met the love of his life, Lola, in Germany, as she was also serving in the Army. Bill owned Elevator Contractors for many years, retiring in 1992. Bill cherished his granddaughters. He taught them everything from riding bikes to driving cars, as well as many other life lessons. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor; sweet, outgoing, loving, kind soul who loved telling dirty jokes, and wasn’t grandpa unless he offended somebody! Bill is survived by his children, Marta Stamey, Bill (DeAnna) Foster, Jr. and Vicki Foster; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Midge Gibheart and Jenny Dougherty; other loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lola; daughter, Linda Pinckney; grandson, Kyle Dean Foster and two brothers.
