The Life of DOROTHY GERTRUDE RENAUD

Our mother, grandmother and friend walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Westview Care Center of Indianola surrounded by her family. Dorothy G. Renaud was born on April 23, 1916 in Waterloo, IA. She graduated from Marshalltown Business College and was a member of the Christian Church there. On June 13, 1943, she married Leslie C. Renaud and had three children, L. Paul Renaud, Jane (Thomas) Person, and Carol (Gary) Krultz who survive her. She is also survived by grandchildren Brad (Monica) Person, Bryan (Marcia) Person, Tia (Justin) Harris, Adam Krultz, Eric Renaud, Chad (Dawn) Renaud and six great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie, her parents C. Lee and Deana Wilson, brother Warren Wilson, sister Mary Louise Wilson, and lifelong friend Ruth Wilson. Dorothy spent many years watching over and leading her Camp Fire girls and volunteered at IPTV and the American Red Cross. She and her husband owned and operated Rite-Way Trailer Sales in Des Moines for several years. Our special thank you to all the wonderful staff members at Westview Care Center who made her last days comfortable. No services are planned at this time with private burial at Highland Memory Gardens at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Ministries or the Salvation Army.
