The Life of Viola Ray

Viola "Vi" Ray (1921-2013) Viola ""Vi"" Ray, 91, of Madison, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at her granddaughter''s home in Geneva. Born Nov. 2, 1921, she was the daughter of Josephine Belle (VanLuven) and Edward Lette. Vi worked for more than 45 years as the head cashier and office manager at Fisher Fazio Supermarket. Kind-hearted and loving, she was a caregiver to many. Survivors are her daughter, Cheryll Marsky of Maple Heights; granddaughters, Theresa Tomko of Geneva and Candace Marsky of Mentor-on-the-Lake; great-grandson, Dylan Tomko of Ashtabula; and sister, Josephine Cramer of Colorado. Vi was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ellen Domin; and brother, Melton Lette. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013. The funeral service will be at noon with committal services directly following at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township. The family suggests contributions be made in her name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110-2602. >>
