The Life of Alfred J Davis

Alfred J. Davis 1931-2013 January 4, 2013 DENTON, Texas - Alfred Joseph Davis, 81, formerly of Niles, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Lake Forest Good Samaritan Healthcare Center. He was born March 29, 1931, in Niles, the son of Sarah Ann Mannon Davis and Alfred John Davis. He retired from Consolidated Rail senior management, and was a member of Niles First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Davis was a topographic surveyor and intelligence investigator with the 29th Engineering Battalion of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Eichinger Davis; a daughter, Deanna Davis Peters; and a granddaughter. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton, Texas. Entombment services will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 9 at Greenhaven Cemetery in Canfield. Arrangements were made by Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles.
