The Life of Evelyn Tingley Scheeler
Evelyn J. Scheeler, age 79, wife of Elwood Scheeler and resident of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 7, 2013. She was born March 16, 1933 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Ralph & Ellen Carlson Tingley Sr. Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper for the former Palmer Bros. Co. as well as the former Androphy Co., both of Ansonia, and was a member of The First Congregational Church of Ansonia. In addition to her husband, she leaves her brother Donald Tingley of Ansonia and nephew Ralph "Ray" Tingley & his wife Arden of Ansonia and Niece Betty Geloso & her husband Paul of Seymour. She was predeceased by her brother Ralph Tingley Jr. Funeral services will be held on Thursday Jan. 10 at 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Friends may call on Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Arthritis Foundation through the funeral home.
