The Life of ROBERT LEE MCKELVOGUE
Robert L. McKelvogue, 85, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012, at the Iowa Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown.
Robert was born July 6, 1927, to Calvin and Bertha McKelvogue in Des Moines, and was a lifelong resident. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. Robert retired from Smith’s Meats in 1992. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his son, Calvin (Michelle) McKelvogue; and granddaughters, Brooke and Courtney. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Wanda.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
