The Life of GEORGIA ANNE PETERSON
Georgia Peterson, 81, passed away at her new home in West Des Moines on Wednesday, December 19, 2012.
Georgia was born November 8, 1931, in Ames, Iowa, to Loren and Catherine Botsford. She married Dean Richard Peterson on February 17, 1951. Together they had a full house, three kings and two queens. Georgia raised all five children before running Midvale Antiques for the past 23 years. All through her life she loved meeting people and making friends. She had a gift of memory, a gift that she passed on to her children.
Georgia is survived by her husband, Dean; five children, Sheryl Peterson, Rick (Judy) Peterson, Bret (Nancy) Peterson, Tina Doke, and Thane (Kate) Peterson; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother, Loren “Wally” (Lena) Botsford. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edwin; and her sister, Bernie.
A graveside service will be held for family and close friends of Georgia at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
