The Life of Cleveland Sam
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Cleveland “Lil-One” Sam, 76, who died December 14, 2012.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.
“Pee-Wee”, as he was also affectionately known by those who knew and loved him, leaves to mourn his memory his four children, Sandra Bracey (Donald) of Helendale, CA, Clarence Sam (Monica) of Carencro, LA, Sarah Mouton and Kenneth Sam (Wanda) of Lafayette, LA. Also mourning his departure, yet cherishing his memories are his six grandchildren, Dante’ Bracey of Lafayette, LA, Contessa Fields (Lenny) of Ft. Knox, KY, Jonathan Mouton of Lafayette, LA, Robin Sam of Youngsville, LA, Ryan Mouton and Torian Sam of Lafayette, LA; his two sisters, Louella Alexander and Beatrice Zeno, both of Lafayette, LA; special companion and friend, Dorothy Thomas of Lafayette, LA, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen C. Sam; his parents; siblings, Eleanor Herring, Evelyn Walker, Dudley, Clifton, Horace, Felix, Wilson, John and Willie Sam.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until time of service
