The Life of MICHAEL ROBERT DeLAY
Michael R. DeLay, 50, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, December 20, at Iles Funeral Homes, Westover Chapel in Des Moines.
Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Michael was born on June 2, 1962 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Robert James and Marilyn Arvalah (Attig) DeLay.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn A. DeLay; son, Blake M. Saavedra; two brothers, Daniel F (Margaret) DeLay and Thomas C. (Carleen) DeLay; two sisters, Kathleen A. (Andre) Abad and Susan E. (Joseph) Mariella; and several nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. DeLay.
Memorials may be made in his name to: Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
