The Life of MARJORIE LOUISE MCBRIDE
Marjorie Louise McBride, 85, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Marjorie was born August 8, 1927, in Newton, Iowa, the daughter of Ora and Grace (Britt) Gildersleeve. She was a proud member of the Eastern Star.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Larry Carter, Dennis McBride, and Wayne (Shawna) McBride; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Brorwer; brother, Don (Donna) Gildersleeve; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sam; son, Mike Carter; brother, Harold Gildersleeve; and her parents.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Marjorie.
