The Life of Regina L Kohl

Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 26, 2012 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Regina Kohl, 77, who passed away on November 23, 2012 at 6:40 am at Magnolia Estates. Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Kohl, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the daughter of the late Felix Landry of Lafayette, Louisiana and the former Electa Thibodeaux of Mire, Louisiana. She was a member of St. Edmond Church. Until the time of her death, she was a loving and caring person. Her granddaughter was the light of her life. She will be remembered as the one who cared for everyone. She will be sadly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Regina was a loving and caring person to all who knew her. She will be missed by all who she made laugh until they had tears flowing down. Regina loved to have a good time and cook, and a good cook she was. Her home was always open to all. She had a heart of gold and loved everyone that she met. She was always there for her daughter and granddaughter. She loved them with all of her heart. Her favorite thing was joining her daughter for Sunday lunch. In her final days her son in law could still make her laugh. She enjoyed going to the casino, getting her and nails done weekly. Playing bingo was her favorite pass a time. She will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by one daughter, Mattie Landry Bergeron and husband Drue of Carencro, LA; one grandchild, Brianna Bergeron of Carencro, LA; and one sister, Mabel Landry Trahan of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Carisse Davis, and three brothers, Ignace Landry, Robert Landry, Sr. and Edward Landry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Monday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Keith Theriot, Robert Landry, Jr., Brandon Mouton, Russell Melancon, Louis Landry and Heith Bonin. The family would like to extend a special thanks, to Magnolia Estates and Hospice Compassus for their loving and compassionate care.
