The Life of HOLLIE NEIL PRICE
Hollie N. Price, Sr., 80, of Des Moines went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24 at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel in Des Moines. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Hollie was born in Omaha, NE on June 11, 1932 to Hollie E. and Evelyn (Williams) Price and moved to Des Moines in 1966. He worked as a Line Service Manager for Des Moines Flying Service. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and was a member of Jordan United Methodist Church. He enjoyed Nebraska Cornhusker football.
Those left to cherish Hollie''s memory include his wife of 33 years, Carolyn; four daughters, Kathy (Gene) McGrath, Sunny (Larry) Dash, Janet (Matt) DeWeese and Nancy Clever; one son, Hollie (Tracie) Price, Jr.; five step children, Ron (Margaret) Humphrey, Roger (Diane) Humphrey, Bob (Ann) Humphrey, Linda Kline and Lura (Leonard) Witt; five grandchildren, Larry (Anna) Dash, Jr., William (Jennifer) McGrath, Gene (Alissa) McGrath, Brian Price, Sami (Mark) Gaines; two step grandchildren, Deborah and Denise Witt; three great grandchildren, Shelby McGrath, Darin Dash and Aaron Dash; brother, Fred Price; and sister, Jill Rolf. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gene Everett; and two brothers, Bill and Floyd.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 23 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston.
