The Life of Frances LaHaye

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Frances LaHaye, who passed away peacefully November 1, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She was 90 years old. Reverend Daniel Edwards, Pastor of St. Jules Church, will conduct the funeral services. Interment will directly follow in Lafayette Memorial Park/. She is survived by one daughter, Margret Edwards and her husband Tom of Opelousas; two sons, L. Dennis LaHaye and his wife Elaine of Scott, and Dr. Paul LaHaye and his wife Sasha of Santa Rosa, CA; five grandchildren, Lori L. Broussard, Sofia LaHaye, and Heidi, Chad, and Scott Edwards; and six great-grandchildren, Soleil, Lincoln, and Fisher Roma, and Cole, Connor, and Kailey Broussard. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Dennis LaHaye; her parents, the former Eva Goodwin and Jack White; and two brothers, Jack and Powell White. Frances was born in Grenada, Mississippi and was a resident of Lafayette for the past 75 years. She dedicated her life to her family and community, volunteering at both Women''s & Children''s Hospital and Lafayette General Medical Center. At LGMC, Frances served as a member of the Pink Ladies for 35 years, and was twice awarded Pink Lady of the Year. Pallbearers will be Dennis LaHaye, Tom Edwards Paul LaHaye, Chad Edwards, Scott Edwards, Stephen Roma and John Broussard. The family requests that visitation be held on Saturday morning from 9:00 am until time of service.
