The Life of Frank Soter

Frank S. Soter, a 92 year old resident of Ansonia and lifelong Valley resident, entered into eternal rest October 30, 2012. He was born October 10, 1920 in New Rochelle, N.Y., son of the late Ernest & Mary Casale Soter and worked as a Sales Representative for Gulf Oil Co. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II .Frank was a faithful parishioner of The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia and was a member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Ansonia Council. Frank was also a past District Deputy & Honorary Life Member of The Lodge of Elks in Derby. He leaves two cousins, Roberta Astarita of Fairfield & Robert Casale of N.Y. Funeral services will begin on Friday Nov. 2 at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia at 8:00 a.m., with the Derby Lodge of Elks providing the Elks funeral ritual at 8:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia.
