The Life of PHYLLIS M WICKER VICKROY DODD
Mrs. Phyllis M. Dodd passed away on Thursday, February 28, at the Skaggs Community Hospital in Branson, MO.
She was born November 29, 1921 in Lucas Co., IA, the daughter of Isaac and Violet Griffiths.
Phyllis lived in Des Moines, IA, where she married "Dick" Dodd on April 8, 1972. She was a member of the Eastern Star and worked as a seamstress for Dentelez Manufacturer in Des Moines, IA. She retired in 1983, and moved to Taney Co. in 1984. She was a great mother, wife, and grandmother, and she loved to go fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Dale "Dick" R. Dodd of the home; children, Janice Monk and Husband Corliss of Cirtus Heights, CA, James B. Wicker and wife, Janis of Plano, IA, and Gary Wicker and wife, Linda of Des Moines, IA; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchldren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ted Griffiths; and sister, Marilyn Day.
A gathering of friends and family will be on Sunday, March 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Whelchel Funeral Chapel in Forsyth, MO. Burial will be at a later date, at the Highland Memorial Gardens in Des Moines, IA.
