The Life of LARRY WILLIAM NAGLE

Larry William Nagle passed away suddenly into the arms of Jesus. He was born to Orville and Frances (Waldo) Nagle on April 12, 1942 in Des Moines, IA. He graduated from Saydel High School. He was a member of the Painters Local 246 for over 40 years. Larry married Marilyn Kay DeFord on September 17, 1969. He was instrumental in building their home in Saylorville that they lived in until his passing. Larry was a quiet and meek man who would help wherever he was needed. He enjoyed working with his hands and made many items like bookshelves and a cradle. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow. He took pride in taking many pictures of them on his trips to Minnesota to visit them and showing the pictures to friends and family. He is survived by his mother Frances Nagle, daughter Melissa (Keith) Warner, grandchildren Tommy, Evan, Mark and Rebekka Warner, sisters Judy McConnell, Jackie (Dave) Thompson, Janet (Sam) Hobson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Nagle, father Orville Nagle, brother-in-law Ed McConnell and nephews Marc and Brent McConnell. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, October 5, 2012 at Saylorville Baptist Church, 6429 NW 6th Drive, with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Fund at Saylorville Baptist Church in loving memory of Larry.>>
