The Life of ALICE MARIE GAMBLE
Alice Marie Gamble, 87, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Alice was born July 21, 1925 in Des Moines to William and Millie Lewis. She had worked in food service for Broadlawns Hospital for many years, and also for Allied Insurance. Alice was a member of Highland Park Christian Church.
Alice is survived by her son, Robert Gamble; daughter, Gloria Nissen; granddaughters, Bessie (Ronald) Fenton, Karen (Anthony) Donati, and Julie (Travis) Rice; grandson, Joseph Gamble; great-granddaughter, Tamara Winter; great-grandsons, Travis and Joshua Fenton; great-great-granddaughters, Katalina Winter and Anastasia Stuart; and a host of extended relatives and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Gamble; daughter, Jacqueline E. Gamble; and son-in-law, James Nissen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2012, at Highland Park Christian Church, 4260 Northwest 6th Drive, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday, at the church.
