The Life of Donna M. Douglas
Donna M. (Miller) Douglas (1929-2012) Services for Donna M. (Miller) Douglas, 83, a homemaker, of Concord Township, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, The Rev. Robert A. Gaston will officiate the services. Mrs. Douglas passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Precious Care Assisted Living in Concord Township. Born April 10, 1929 in Mentor, she was a lifelong Lake County resident. She loved walking, gardening and knitting, but most especially spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors are her children, Vickie (Dennis) Burlinski of Geneva, Cindy (Ron) Weaver of Hambden Township, Susie (Phil) Vaughan and Rick (Darlene) Douglas, both of Concord Township; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Phyllis Urban of Painesville Township. Her husband, Richard "Dick" Douglas passed away Dec. 31, 1992. Her parents, Edwin and Gladys (Fenner) Miller; brother, Edwin Miller Jr.; and sister, Betty Lucas are also deceased. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the funeral home. Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Senior Independence Hospice, 38721 Mentor Ave., Willoughby, OH 44094.
