The Life of THAI SEO LENG

Thai Seo Leng passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Methodist Hospital. Mr. Leng is survived by his wife, Angie Leng of Des Moines; sons, Michael (Tasha) Leng, Phillip Leng and Torrance Leng, all of Des Moines; daughters, Cindy (J.R.) Degan of Las Vegas and Linette Leng of Des Moines; brothers, Pao Seo (Kham) Leng of Denison, Billy (Tiffany) Leng, Denny Khounkhong, and Thongprasith Luangdetmalay, all of Des Moines, and Bouakham Phanthavongsa of Canada; step-brothers, Somdeth Keomany, Somphet Keomany, and Bob Vannavong all of Des Moines; sisters, Chui (Lloyd) Goodall, Phui (Viengvilay) Bouaphakeo, and Nina (Nick) Khounchanh, all of Des Moines; and five grandchildren. Mr. Leng was employed by the Embassy Club from 1980 – 1986. Following that, he owned and operated Leng’s Oriental Restaurant in Des Moines from 1990 – 1995, and the House of Thai Restaurant in Urbandale from 1995- 2012. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue.
