The Life of Evelyn Louise Johnson Pendelow
Evelyn Louise Pendelow, an 86 year old Derby resident, entered into eternal rest July 10, 2012. She was born Nov. 20, 1925 in Ansonia, daughter of the late Oscar & Flora Martinez Johnson Sr. A graduate of Ansonia High School, she worked as a banker for Union Trust Bank. She was a member of The Christ Episcopal Church in Ansonia, was a member of the Shelton & Derby Seniors Centers and The Derby Historical Society, and volunteered for The Griffin Hospital Cancer Support Group. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Tackas of Southbury, Karen Jones of North Haverhill, New Hampshire & Sherry Felice of Derby, her son Thomas Pendelow of North Carolina, & six grandchildren, one great grandchild & one nephew. She was predeceased by her brother Oscar W. Johnson Jr. Friends may call on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. (www.jenkinskingfh.com) Funeral services will be Friday, 10:00 a.m. at The Christ Episcopal Church, 56 S. Cliff St. Ansonia. Burial will be private.
