The Life of DELORES JEAN TAYLOR
Delores “Dee” Taylor, 88, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at Taylor House Hospice. She was born July 15, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Arleigh and Isabelle Willis.
Dee worked at Harding Middle School for many, many years, and was known to all as the “lunch lady.”
Delores is survived by her son, Kent (Sue) Taylor; daughter, Susan Reed; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Bud” Taylor, her parents, and sister, Margaret.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. A visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to service time, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor House Hospice in loving memory of Dee.
