The Life of Helen Adams Skowronski
Helen A. Skowronski, age 88, of Milford, beloved wife of the late John Skowronski, died June 27, 2012 at the West River Health Care Center, Milford. Born in Ansonia on August 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Nikifor and Petryna Smarz Adam. Mrs. Skowronski was a longtime resident of Ansonia and Seymour before moving to Milford 20 years ago. She was a home maker and life long member of Three Saints Orthodox Church. Mrs. Skowronski was a member of the Milford Senior Center and T.O.P.S. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Linda Broderick of Milford and Gloria Pandolfi and her husband, Edward of Fairfield; four cherished grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 5 brothers, John, Wasil, Andrew, Demitro and Julius Adam and four sisters, Mildred Szczesiul, Tessie Tidmarsh, Mary Pedbereznak and Rose Adam. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call on Friday Morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Three Saints Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia.
