The Life of MARY A PETERSON
Mary Agnes Clow Peterson, 81, passed away April 11, at her home. Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Union Park United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Hamilton''s Funeral Home and also for an hour prior to the service at the church. A VFW Auxiliary memorial service will be held at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mary was born February 23, 1926 in Des Moines. She worked at Farm Bureau for 23 years. Mary graduated from East High School. She was a very active volunteer at Union Park United Methodist Church and volunteered at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. She helped at the eletion polls and worked at the Iowa State Fair. Mary was a state officer of the VFW Auxiliary.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; her grandparents; brother, John; and an infant brother.
She is survived by many family members and friends who cared for her and will miss her dearly. As well as her best friend, her dog, "Sparky".
Memorials are suggested to Union Park United Methodist Church, the Iowa Lutheran auxiliary or the Boline Manfredi VFW Auxiliary.
