The Life of John M. Mckeaney Jr.

JOHN M. MCKEANEY AGE: 78 CINNAMINSON John “Jack” M. McKeaney, Jr. passed away, peacefully, on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 surrounded by members of his loving family. Born Oct 2, 1938 in Philadelphia. Jack was a resident of Cinnaminson, NJ for the past 45 years, having formerly resided in Maple Shade, NJ and the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. In his early years, Jack and his family spent memorable summers in Avalon where he worked as Captain of the Avalon Life Guard Beach Patrol. Jack was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School and La Salle University where he enjoyed a lot of his time playing on the basketball team. Jack also, proudly, served his country in the US Army and the Army Reserves. After the passing of his father, Jack, along with his brother Bill, was a co-owner of McKeaney Stationery. Jack was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Loved by so many in his life, Jack was a lovingly, devoted husband for 39 years of the late Marie “Ree” McKeaney. He was dear father of Suzanne Austin and Brian Austin, both of San Diego, California and a beloved brother of Mary Breslin (nee McKeaney). Preceded in death by his loving sister Kathryn Sommers (nee McKeaney) and his brother William McKeaney. Jack is also survived by numerous, caring cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews in addition to wonderful friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jack’s Life Celebration and viewing Monday 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at GIVNISH FUNERAL HOME 1200 Route 130 North Cinnaminson, NJ. PH: (856) 829-8000. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2500 Branch Pike and Pomona Road Cinnaminson, NJ.
