The Life of DORIS VESTA FLETCHER WHITE
Doris White, 98, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Bright Kavanagh in Des Moines. She was born July 12, 1913, in Decatur, Il., to Artimer and Vesta Fletcher.
Doris graduated from Alleman High School and attended Business College in Des Moines. She enjoyed playing Bridge, other card games, and socializing.
Doris is survived by her children, Charlene (Harold) Hildreth, Dolores Lein, Roberta (Mike) Fredericks, and Robert T. White II; 14 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with family one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Mill Pond Retirement Community, or Bright Kavanagh House in loving memory of Doris.
