The Life of Alma R Marenkovic

ALMA L. MARENKOVIC YOUNGSTOWN – Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, for Alma L. Marenkovic, 86, who went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday at the Hospice House. Alma was born Sept. 4, 1925, in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of James and Margaret (Barckly) Boyd, coming to Youngstown in 1946. She was a 1946 graduate of New Castle High School. Mrs. Marenkovic was a homemaker and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. She was an avid bingo and card player, and she cherished the time she spent with her family and grandchildren. Alma will be sadly missed by many, especially her husband, Steve Marenkovic, whom she married on Sept. 28, 1946; her sons, Roy (Sally) Marenkovic and Stephan (Diane) Marenkovic, both of Austintown; her daughters, Marsha (Michael) Lattanzio of Boardman and Cynthia (Daniel) Romeo of New Wilmington, Pa.; a brother, James (Dorothy) Boyd of New Castle; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Eileen Smolnik; and two grandchildren, Michael Marenkovic and Michael Lattanzio III. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home. The family requests that contributions be made to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514
