Rose Henson, 37, died Monday, August 22, 2005 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 25 at Hamilton''''''''s Funeral Home on Lyon Street. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''''''''s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her family.
Rose was born March 16, 1968 in Ft. Lee, Virginia and lived most of her life in Des Moines. She was very resourceful and always put others before herself. Rose was also an active prayer team leader. She was a dedicated mother and wife, spending most of her time involved in her children''''''''s activities and spending time as a family.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Henson of Des Moines; her children, Rosalie, Clara, Celeste and Joseph Henson, all at home; her mother, Rosalie Evans and her husband, John C. of Des Moines; her brothers, James Reeves, Jr. of Des Moines; sisters, Jessica Stanley of Perry and Racquel Reeves of Des Moines; and numerous step-brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James Reeves, Sr. and her son, Charles Joseph Reeves.
