The Life of Elsie Gracon Martin
Elsie Martin, 93, of Northford, CT, formerly a resident of Beacon Falls, CT for 80 years, died Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Highlands Health Care Center in Cheshire. Born in Beacon Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Felenchak) Gracon. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Michael Martin Sr. and her sister, Mary Kukiel. She was a lifelong member of Three Saints Orthodox Church of Ansonia and a member of the Ladies Aid Society. A graduate of Naugatuck High, she was a homemaker and former employee of the Risdon Corp., Naugatuck, and the Del Glass Co. in Beacon Falls. She is survived by a son, Michael Martin (Cindy), of Northford, and a daughter Barbara Martin (Trevor Lee) of Winchester, CT. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 9:00 AM from the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM in Three Saints Orthodox Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
