The Life of LORENE GUSTA QUICK
Lorene Gusta Quick, 89, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at Polk City Nursing and Rehab. She was born May 29, 1922, in Summersville, Missouri, to Nathan and Nancy Kirkman.
She worked at John Deere as a Receiving Clerk until her retirement in 1982. Lorene was a charter member of Saylorville Baptist Church.
Lorene is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Mark) Meenan; son, Stan Quick; granddaughters, Aundria (Leif) Nelson and Whitney Vogt; great-grandsons, Cody and Nathen Nelson; and her sister, Thelma (Charlie) Kurtz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard O. Quick, and grandson, Patrick Meenan.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2012, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home
