The Life of JULIE ANN WELCH
Julie Ann Welch, 88, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Des Moines, with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
Julie was born in Des Moines to Clarence and Marie (Mulvaney) Beghtol, and has lived all her life in Des Moines. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Julie is survived by her daughter, Mary Lynn (Larry) Moffitt; sons, John (Marketa) Welch, Paul (Lauren) Welch, Ed (Robin) Welch, and Stephen Welch; a brother, John Beghtol; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Julie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett; and a son, James Patrick Welch.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 25, at Iles Funeral Homes ~ Grandview Park Chapel from 3 to 5 p.m., with a vigil service at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
