The Life of Flora Grace Patterson
Funeral services will be held at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. for Grace Patterson, 83, who passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at her home in Lafayette after a battle with cancer. Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the services.
Mrs. Patterson was married to L.W. “Pat” Patterson for 54 years prior to his death. She was born March 26, 1928 to John Thomas Jordan and Burissa Pope Jordan of Columbia, MS. Grace was a graduate of Columbia High School, a retiree of Voorhies and Labbe Law Firm and a member of Community Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Patterson Girouard and husband Keith Girouard of Lafayette, LA, Patti Patterson Walters and husband David Walters of Houston, TX, her sons, Darrell Patterson of Acworth, GA, Kirk Patterson of Lafayette, LA and her grandchildren Corley Walters and Jordan Walters, of Houston, TX, Kirsten Patterson of Jupiter, FL, Dustin Patterson and Brett Patterson of Acworth, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her eight siblings, her grandson, Rael Rankin and her husband, L.W. “Pat” Patterson.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday, January 9, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Patterson, Kirk Patterson, Corley Walters, Dustin Patterson, Brett Patterson, David Walters and Keith Girouard.
