The Life of RICHARD SILAS LORBER
Richard Lorber, 89, died on January 27, 2012, at the V.A. Community Living Center in Des Moines, IA.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, January 30, 2012, at Highland Memory Gardens in Des Moines.
Richard was born on June 17, 1922, in Burlington, IA to Edna (Grannemann) and Joseph Lorber. He married Priscilla D. Lorber on April 27, 1946 in Burlington, Iowa. Richard was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII.
Richard will be missed by his wife, Priscilla D. Lorber of Johnston; daughter, Paulette (Paul) Hartney of Sugar Land, TX; son, Richard Dennis (Corey) Lorber of Johnston; grandchildren, Christopher Hartney of Houston, TX, Alison Hartney of Houston, TX, Joseph Lorber of Johnston, and Alexandra Lorber of Johnston. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
