The Life of Mary Revak

CANFIELD – Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, for Mary J. Revak, 86, formerly of Boardman, who died early Thursday morning at her residence. Mary was born July 8, 1925, in Monongahela, Pa., a daughter of the late Charles and Helen Kobas and came to Boardman in 1971. She was a homemaker and a member of the Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Guild. She also had made piroghy, kolachi and bake goods for the church’s bake sales and enjoyed sewing. Her husband, Stephen Revak, whom she married in 1945, died in 1993. She leaves her daughter, Beverly Revak of Canfield; a son, Greg Revak of Austintown; two grandsons, Jeremy Weaver and John (Elisa) Weaver; and a great-grandson, Christopher Weaver. Besides her parents and her husband, Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Sabo, Julie Karastury; a brother, Chuck Kobas; and her beloved dog, Mitzi
